About Us

Entreprise Funéraire St Charles Morgue Privée

Entreprise Funéraire St Charles Morgue Privée is more than just a funeral home—it is a deeply rooted family legacy and a cornerstone of community care.

The story begins in 1950, when Abel Beaugelus (Boss Abel), a skilled craftsman, started the family business as a casket builder. His passion, dedication, and respect for the dignity of life were passed down to his son, Albert Charles, who took over the business in 1989. By 1991, the business was officially and legally passed on to Albert Charles, marking the beginning of a new era for the family enterprise.

Seeing the growing needs of his community, Albert Charles transformed the casket business into a morgue in 1998—making it the second morgue ever established in Port-de-Paix, Haiti. He named it under the family name, ensuring that future generations could continue building upon the legacy. During times when there were many corpses, the first morgue in Port-de-Paix would step in to assist, creating a strong sense of community and collaboration that still defines the business today.

As the business grew, Albert Charles expanded and opened a second funeral home in Cabaret, Haiti, in 2006, extending the same compassionate care and community-focused service.

Albert Charles’ decision to expand the family trade into funeral services was more than a business move; it was an act of service. Today, the funeral home stands as a pillar of the community, offering not only compassionate care for grieving families, but also a gathering space for neighbors and friends. Locals often find comfort simply sitting in front of the building, knowing that it represents warmth, respect, and an ever-open hand.

Whether providing end-of-life care, offering a listening ear, or lending a helping hand to those in need, Albert Charles and his family have made it their mission to serve with dignity, compassion, and integrity.

With each generation, the vision continues—deeply rooted in tradition, strengthened by family values, and sustained by love for the community.
